Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has reportedly informed the Ligue 1 champions of his desire to extend his contract at the Parc des Princes.
The Brazilian attacker was linked with a sensational return to Barcelona during the summer, but a move failed to materialise in the wake of Barca's financial woes amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Despite currently finding himself on the treatment table, Neymar has played a key role in the PSG attack once again this season and is supposedly ready to commit his long-term future to the French giants.
According to Telefoot, the former Barca man has told the club's sporting director Leonardo that he wants to pen an extension at the Parc des Princes, and the 28-year-old can expect to pocket the same £600,000 weekly wage which he currently earns at PSG.
The report also claims that Neymar is taking on more responsibility behind the scenes as PSG look to push for a Champions League title, with the attacker scouting players whom he feels could help propel the French champions to the top of the European game.
Despite the importance of Neymar to the team, PSG are believed to view Kylian Mbappe's contract situation as a more urgent matter, with Real Madrid supposedly identifying the Frenchman as one of their leading targets for 2021.
