Rumoured Barcelona transfer target Nolito has confirmed that he is close to signing a new contract with Celta Vigo.
The 29-year-old started his career at Camp Nou and numerous reports have linked him with a return during the January transfer window.
However, the attacker has dismissed Barca's supposed interest, having instead revealed that he is just a few "minor details" away from committing to a fresh deal at the Estadio Municipal de Balaidos.
"They are only rumours. I want to be loud and clear, it is only what I have read in the press and what my friends have told me," he told Marca.
"I think that if Barca really want me they'll call Celta, and as far as I know they haven't done so. The truth is that I am happy in Vigo and that is why, some minor details pending, I will be renewing with Celta soon. I am only sure that I am doing well here and I have decided to renew."
Nolito, who has been ruled out until next month with a hamstring injury, has scored eight league goals so far this term.
