Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach defender Fabian Johnson.
The American international announced himself on the biggest stage during the 2014 World Cup, with his performances for the United States drawing a host of praise.
The 27-year-old had already agreed a deal to join Gladbach from Hoffenheim before last summer's tournament, however, and his performances this season have also been of a high standard.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca scouted the defender during Gladbach's Europa League clash at Sevilla last week and favourable reports were returned.
Johnson has played his entire professional career in Germany – the country of his birth.
