Barcelona reportedly scouted RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner during the German club's clash with Bayern Munich last weekend.
The 21-year-old netted 21 Bundesliga goals for Leipzig during the 2016-17 campaign, and has already found the back of the net on five occasions in the league this season.
Real Madrid have previously been credited with an interest in Werner, although the German international claimed earlier this season that his focus was on Leipzig.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are also firm admirers of the striker, and the Catalan club's sporting director Robert Fernandez was at the Allianz Arena last weekend to watch him in action against Bayern.
Last month, Werner, who has scored six times in eight appearances for the German national team, revealed that he 'dreams' of playing for Manchester United.
