Valencia have reportedly rejected another offer from Barcelona for French defender Jeremy Mathieu.

Barca have been strongly linked with a move for the centre-back this summer, with the Catalan outfit believed to have submitted at least three separate offers.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Valencia are still intent on keeping the 30-year-old, unless his release clause, which stands in the region of £18m, is activated.

Barcelona are understood to be unprepared to move past the £13m mark.

Mathieu has a contract with Valencia until 2017.
