Spanish midfielder Riqui Puig could reportedly leave Barcelona during this summer's transfer window.

Riqui Puig could reportedly leave Barcelona during this summer's transfer window if he continues to struggle for regular action at Camp Nou.

The 22-year-old has made 12 appearances for the Catalan giants this season, but he has not been involved in any of his side's last three La Liga matches.

Pedri's return from injury has pushed Puig further down the pecking order at the club, and he has entered the final 18 months of his contract with Xavi's side.

According to Sport, Barcelona 'trust him a lot', but head coach Xavi does not view him as an important player, and 'there are plenty of offers throughout Europe' to sign him.

The report claims that the Catalan club had been hopeful that Puig would leave on loan to continue his development, but the Spaniard has continued to resist an exit.

The midfielder has scored once and provided three assists in 51 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions since making his debut in 2018.
