Former Barcelona assistant manager Robert Moreno has confirmed that the club are interested in re-signing 'difference-maker' Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain.
The La Liga giants have been strongly linked with the Brazilian forward ahead of the next transfer window, three years on from his move in the opposite direction for a record £198m fee.
A move failed to materialise last summer and the financial uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic could prove a further stumbling block, but Moreno - who worked as assistant to Luis Enrique at Camp Nou for three years - insists that Barca are still keen to strike a deal.
"I would re-sign Neymar for Barcelona," he told El Transistor. "In the end, Barcelona have to have the best players in the world and Neymar is one of them, a player who makes the difference.
"Furthermore, he makes his teammates play. I know for sure that they want him."
Moreno was appointed as Monaco head coach in December after losing his job as Spain boss.
