Barcelona boss Quique Setien has suggested that his side are unlikely to be able to sign Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar during this summer's transfer window.
The 28-year-old continues to be strongly linked with a return to Camp Nou, but the finances involved could make it impossible for the Catalan giants to complete a summer deal.
Setien has hinted that a figure of €222m (£195m) would be needed to sign the Brazil international, who has scored 69 times in 80 appearances for the French champions since a 2017 move from Barca.
"€222m (£195m) for him? No. I don't think there is anyone who can spend that much," Setien told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"And small clubs have water in their throats. Many of them lived to the limit and at the first serious jolt they went into crisis. Football lived at an uncontrolled pace."
Neymar, who has also been linked with Real Madrid, has a contract with his Paris club until the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
