Former Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has claimed that Lautaro Martinez should continue his development at Inter Milan.
With the Catalan giants contemplating potential replacements for current Barcelona forward Luis Suarez, numerous outlets have suggested that Martinez is high on their shortlist.
However, the Uruguayan's namesake Suarez, who played for both Barca and Inter, feels that the Argentine should look to remain at San Siro, rather than compete for a place in Barcelona's attack next season.
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Spain international said: "If I were him, I wouldn't change teams. Making a decision on whether to stay or not is very complicated, although if [Lionel] Messi called him then it would be easy to think about it.
"However, we're talking about a boy who is still very young, and he has all the time in the world to go for other challenges in the future.
"Let's say the truth, he would have less prominence in Spain that he does at Inter. I want to give some advice: Stay where you are."
Barcelona are unlikely to be able to afford Martinez unless they can offload at least one player in part-exchange.
