Barcelona midfielder Xavi has allegedly agreed to join Major League Soccer outfit New York Red Bulls after this summer's World Cup.
The Spaniard was tipped to join another MLS side, Manchester City-affiliated New York FC, but is said to have been poached by their neighbours.
"Xavi has definitely accepted to move to New York Red Bull after World Cup," BeIN Sports Italian correspondent Tancredi Palmeri wrote on Twitter, citing Sky Sports News as his source.
It had been suggested that City were keen to make the Spanish World Cup winner a marquee signing when New York FC begin playing in the MLS next year.
Xavi's move to the MLS is yet to be officially confirmed.
