Barnsley will play at Wembley for the second time this season thanks to tonight's 3-1 victory away at Walsall in semi-finals of the League One playoffs.
The Tykes made the trip to Bescot Stadium with a 3-0 advantage from Saturday's first leg in Yorkshire and rather than sit back on that, they went on to widen the gap.
Their first goal of the evening arrived in the 18th minute courtesy of winger Adam Hammill, who made the most of a dummy from Ashley Fletcher to fire in from five yards out.
Barnsley continued to carve out chances as the half progressed, but they were unable to add to their tally before the break.
However, there were no such problems after the restart as Fletcher scored his eighth goal for the club.
This time Hammill turned creator as his cross caused problems inside the Walsall penalty box and when Sam Winnall missed his kick, Manchester United loanee Fletcher was on hand to poke in from close range.
A consolation then followed for Walsall in the 85th minute when Jordan Cook fired in from 25 yards out, but the final say on proceedings went the way of the away side after Josh Brownhill rolled the ball into an unguarded net.
It means that Barnsley are heading back to the home of English football, having won the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at the same venue last month. They will face the winners of tomorrow night's tie between Millwall and Bradford City.
