Sheffield Wednesday have played to a 1-1 draw with Yorkshire rivals Barnsley in a pre-season friendly at Oakwell this afternoon.
The home side had the first chance of the match when Sam Winnall tried a 20-yard strike, but Keiren Westwood managed to make the save.
However, Barnsley did manage to break the deadlock on the half-hour mark when Conor Hourihane delivered a free kick into the box, which Danny Rose turned into the back of the net.
The visitors were back on level terms early in the second half when Adam Davies punched a Gary Madine effort away, only for Kieran Lee to pounce on the rebound.
Rose had a couple of chances to add to his first-half effort and restore their lead, but he dragged his first wide before heading just past the post a couple of minutes later.
Barnsley continued to dominate as they tried to retake the lead, with Winnall having a shot cleared off the line late on, but Wednesday did enough to hold on for the draw.
