Barnsley goalkeeper Adam Davies has signed a new two-year contract at Oakwell with an option to extend a further year to June 2018.
The 22-year-old performed well in his Tykes debut season after arriving a year ago from South Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
Davies told the Yorkshire Post: "I'm really happy to have signed a new deal. I'm really settled here and feel I've improved my game last season.
"I want to kick on now and hopefully next season we can push on for promotion."
Davies, who made 25 appearances and recorded 10 clean sheets last season, is expected to fight for the first-team spot with Ross Turnbull next term.
