Barrow have announced that manager Darren Edmondson has left the club by mutual consent.
The 44-year-old took charge at Holker Street in December 2013 and under his guidance Barrow retained their Conference North status, before 12 months later they celebrated promotion to the National League.
However, a run of just one victory from the team's last seven outings in all competitions has resulted in a parting of the ways.
"Darren has taken us to the point that we're at, for which we are obviously grateful," owner Paul Casson told the North West Evening Mail.
"Before I took the club over he took the club from the bottom of the Conference North to the midpoint and then got us promoted last year. Now, in my opinion, it's just time to pass the baton on and to go forward."
Early speculation has suggested that former Mansfield boss Paul Cox is the favourite to replace Edmondson.
