Bastia goalkeeper Mickael Landreau has insisted that he is only focused on the game at hand against Evian TG on Sunday and not that he could equal Ligue 1's appearance record.
If Landreau starts against Evian he will match Jean-Luc Ettori's existing record of 602 appearances, but the goalkeeper said that he just wants a win.
"It means a lot to me," Landreau told BT Sport. "I think it will come to me later, what it represents. I have tried to continue as normal and prepare as best I can because the games are still very important.
"When you are a goalkeeper you have to push yourself all the time. You have such responsibility on your shoulders that you don't have time to stop and savour it.
"In the league, for a goalkeeper, you start from zero every time with everything to prove."
Bastia are currently ninth in Ligue 1.
