Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno has revealed that he is desperate to secure a spot in the Germany squad for Euro 2016, should the world champions book their spot at the tournament.
Joachim Low's side need just a point at home to Georgia on Sunday to be sure of their position at the showpiece event and Bayern Munich's stopper Manuel Neuer, if fit, will be the number one for the tournament.
Barcelona's Marc-Andre ter Stegen is also expected to make the trip, but Leno is hoping to secure the position as third-choice goalkeeper after being called into the latest squad.
"We'll have to wait and see. My task here is to make the best possible impression and to put in some convincing performances during training," Leno told the DFB's official website.
"Then I have to keep playing consistently for my club. It'd be a dream to be there in France. I will do everything I can to make that dream a reality."
Leno, who is closing on 150 league appearances for Leverkusen, has 14 Germany Under-21 caps to his name.
