Bayern Munich defender Jan Kirchoff has revealed that he is relishing "the challenge" of winning a place in the first team next season after joining from Mainz 05.
The 22-year-old, who completed a move to the treble winners this summer, faces a host of competition for a place in the back four in the new campaign.
"There is a lot of competition for places, but I am really looking forward to the challenge. Bayern are the right choice for me," he told Kicker.
Kirchoff has been capped at youth level for Germany.
