Bayern Munich's executive director Matthias Sammer has claimed that Mario Gotze turned down "incredible offers" to join his club.
It was confirmed yesterday morning that 20-year-old Gotze would swap Borussia Dortmund for Bayern this summer in a transfer worth £32m.
However, Sammer has revealed that a number of clubs were prepared to offer "mad" deals in order to land the German international.
"You have to be aware that Mario Gotze has had incredible offers from other clubs. Those offers were really mad," he told Sky Deutschland.
The attacker has previously been linked with a host of clubs, including Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
