Swansea City boss Paul Clement is reportedly preparing to make his move for Bayern Munich defender Holger Badstuber.
Clement worked with Badstuber at the Allianz Arena between June 2016 and January 2017, before the 45-year-old left the Bundesliga giants to take control of Swansea.
Badstuber, 28, has made 178 appearances for Bayern, but the centre-back's career has been blighted by injury in recent seasons.
The 31-time Germany international spent the second half of the 2016-17 campaign on loan at Schalke 04, but his contract at Bayern expires next month, and according to The Mirror, Swansea are in the race for his signature.
Manchester City have also previously been linked with a move for the centre-back, who was once regarded as one of the most talented centre-backs in European football, before a host of injury problems curtailed his progress.
