Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed that the club have not been successful in the contract talks with midfielder Toni Kroos so far.
The 24-year-old's current deal expires in 18 months and the Bundesliga champions are keen to get the Germany international to commit his future to club.
"To be honest, because the talks so far have not led to a new contract, it's always about the money in every agreement," Rummenigge told Kicker. "We are interested that Toni prolongs his contract."
Kroos joined Bayern from Hansa Rostock as a 16-year-old.
