Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing Southampton defender Armel Bella-Kotchap before this summer's transfer window closes for business.
The 21-year-old has recently been linked with Borussia Dortmund, as he prepares to leave the Saints following their relegation to the second tier of English football.
However, according to the Daily Mail, there is also serious interest from Bayern, with the German champions keen to explore the possibility of signing him before the end of the market.
The report claims that Bella-Kotchap is keen to return to Germany, having represented VfL Bochum ahead of his move to Southampton in the summer of 2022.
The Germany international featured on 26 occasions for the Saints last season, but he has not been involved during the 2023-24 campaign amid the speculation surrounding his future.
Southampton are in a strong position when it comes to any potential negotiations, as the defender has another three years left to run on his contract with the Championship outfit.
Meanwhile, according to Football Insider, Leicester City would be prepared to accept an offer of around £23m for Patson Daka in the latter stages of the transfer window.
Monaco are believed to be considering moving for the Zambia international following claims that they have been priced out of a move for Arsenal's Folarin Balogun.
The 24-year-old made the move to the King Power Stadium from Red Bull Salzburg in the summer of 2021, and he has represented Leicester on 74 occasions, scoring 15 times and registering eight assists.
Daka scored 11 times in his first season with the Foxes but only managed four goals in all competitions during a disappointing 2022-23 campaign.
The forward has not played a minute of football for Leicester this season, and he was not even in the squad for their recent Championship matches with Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City.
It is being reported that an offer of around £23m would be accepted, and Leicester are in a strong position when it comes to his future, as his current deal has another three years left to run.
Elsewhere, Marseille have reportedly made an offer for Inter Milan attacker Joaquin Correa.
The 29-year-old has scored 10 goals and registered five assists in 77 appearances for Inter in all competitions, first representing the San Siro giants on loan before joining permanently last August.
Correa was a regular for Inter during the 2022-23 campaign, making 41 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and registering three assists in the process.
The Argentina international was an unused substitute in Inter's 2023-24 Serie A opener against Monza on Saturday, though, and there is currently speculation surrounding his future.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Marseille have made an initial loan offer for Correa, with the French outfit prepared to pay €2m (£1.7m) to loan him for the season, but there will also be a €10m (£8.6m) buy option clause.
Under the proposed agreement, a permanent deal would allegedly go through next summer if Marseille manage to qualify for the 2024-25 Champions League. body check tags ::
