Georgi Kondratiev has resigned from his position as the head coach of Belarus.
The 54-year-old has taken the decision following the nation's 3-1 loss to Slovakia on Sunday, which has left them with just one point from a possible nine in Euro 2016 qualifying.
Speaking to UEFA's official website, Kondratiev said: "As we did not get a result, the coach has to leave. I promised that and I will resign, but our players will not play differently.
"That is the result of the last 25 years. We are lagging behind the leading countries. Slovakia are not a super team, but we are lagging behind them as well."
Kondratiev had held the post since 2011.
