Belgium Under-21 boss Enzo Scifo has criticised Adnan Januzaj for pulling out of the squad for his country's upcoming game against Czech Republic.
The 20-year-old, who is currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund from Manchester United, was not included in the senior Belgium squad for their upcoming friendlies this month.
The attacker did receive a call into the Under-21 side, but according to Scifo, Januzaj has pulled out without a proper reason.
"A 20-year-old player who gives this impression of non-motivation, it reflects a poor state of mind," Scifo told Walfoot. "I would normally speak to him, but I don't have a good feeling about this. I'm not condemning him because he is young.
"He might react in six months, a year or two. I hope it won't be too late for him. I dislike that a player is not motivated.
"The U21s aren't a pub team! When you're 20, you have to be humble enough to understand that on your own. You can't ask your dad or your agent if it's a good choice or not."
Januzaj has not started a single Bundesliga game for Dortmund this season, while he has not scored or provided an assist in nine appearances in total.
