Daniel Van Buyten has urged his Belgium teammates to stay focused ahead of their clash with the USA in the last 16 of the World Cup tonight.
The Belgians head into the match having finished at the top of Group H with a maximum nine points.
Despite their impressive showing so far out in Brazil, Van Buyten does not want the squad to get carried away too soon.
"The most important thing is not to think about the future or let yourself get distracted," the 36-year-old defender told FIFA.com.
"We'll have all the time in the world to pick over everything afterwards. The World Cup is happening now and we have to rise to the challenge."
Belgium's opponents the USA secured a second-place finish in Group G behind Germany.
