Manager Jorge Jesus has put an end to speculation that has linked him with a move away from Benfica by signing a new contract with the club.
It had been reported that the 58-year-old was to leave his post following the team's failure to win any of the three competitions that they had entered last season.
However, in a short statement on the club's official website this afternoon, it was confirmed that Jesus would remain at the Estadio da Luz until the summer of 2015.
He was appointed back in 2009 following the sacking of Quique Flores.
