Real Betis have been hit with the news that Nigerian international Nosa Igiebor will require surgery on a damaged adductor muscle in his left leg.
It is believed that the 23-year-old has been carrying the injury since the start of the season, but it has worsened during the last week of training with the La Liga outfit.
As a result of the surgery, which is due to take place this week, Nosa will be out of action until at least the middle of January.
The midfielder, who joined Betis from Hapoel Tel Aviv in January, has made 11 appearances in all competitions this campaign.
