Real Betis boss Gus Poyet has been handed a two-match touchline ban after being found in beach of Article 117 of La Liga's disciplinary code, which relates to 'disrespecting officials'.
Poyet, who only took charge of Betis this summer, is believed to have launched a verbal assault on referee Carlos Clos Gomez following his team's 0-0 draw with Deportivo La Coruna last weekend.
According to Football Espana, Poyet was heard to have shouted, "Never come back, we always lose with you" at Gomez outside of the dressing rooms, which was included in the referee's match report.
Poyet, who has also managed Brighton & Hove Albion, Sunderland and AEK Athens, will now miss his team's league matches against Granada and Valencia.
