Spanish midfielder Joan Verdu has called on his Real Betis teammates to show their true colours in the second half of the La Liga season.
The Seville-based side currently sit bottom of the table on 10 points having won just two of their 17 league matches this season.
However, Verdu, who himself has struggled for form after joining from Espanyol in the summer, is confident of an upturn in fortunes.
"We have to think as if this is our last game. Hopefully things will go as planned and we will start to climb the table," he told reporters at a press conference.
"I'm sure we'll get out of this current situation – I'm quite sure of it. I'm aware that we can give more, especially me. But we all want to grow as a collective and reverse this current form.
"We are the first to admit that we can be better, and we must show that we can do well in our next match."
Betis, who finished seventh last season, return to league action this weekend against Real Valladolid.
