Real Betis reportedly turned down the chance to sign Dorlan Pabon in the summer, despite a successful loan spell with Pepe Mel's side last season.
The 25-year-old scored eight league goals during the second part of last campaign while on loan from Monterrey, but it is believed that Betis turned down the opportunity to make the move permanent.
"The player was very happy in Sevilla and would have loved the possibility [to play for Betis again]. The chance to return was on the table," a source close to Pabon told Diario de Sevilla.
The Colombian subsequently joined Valencia, but is yet to open his tally for the club.
