First-half goals from Robert Tesche and Clayton Donaldson have put Birmingham City in a strong position against Rotherham United at St Andrew's in this afternoon's Championship match.
The visitors started the stronger of the two sides by dominating play in the early stages of the half, but the first effort of the encounter came from David Cotterill.
The winger managed to drive into the box and unleash a shot, but his effort was blocked and knocked out for a corner, which came to nothing.
Rotherham continued to dominate play and passed the ball around comfortably, but neither side could create many meaningful chances at goal.
That changed when Tesche side-footed an effort in the penalty area and gave the hosts the lead on home turf.
Despite all of Rotherham's early intent, they were unable to get themselves back in contention as the Blues doubled their lead when Donaldson headed in the ball in after Emiliano Martinez's clearance from Cotterill's 20-yard free kick.
