Birmingham City manager Lee Clark believes that the additions he has made to his squad will put pressure on their opposition this season.
The Blues have signed as many as eight new players since the end of last season, and Clark, who saw the Blues earn Championship survival on the final day of the campaign, is confident that his team will make a challenge further up the table over the next 12 months.
The 41-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "They are generally young, hungry, dynamic footballers. Attacking-wise, we've added a lot of pace to the squad now, so that's something that we can look forward to in the games.
"That's something you need in the Championship and will put the opposition under pressure, and that's something we need to do.
"Me and my staff identified the positions where we needed to bring players in and we're delighted with the ones that we've got."
Despite the club's financial troubles, only one of their eight transfers has been on a temporary basis.
