Former West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray has stated that he is ready to return to management.
The 50-year-old, who has been out of work since leaving Boro a year ago, has been linked with the vacant manager's role at Birmingham City following the sacking of Lee Clark.
Mowbray has insisted that while he has not been in contact with the Blues, he would consider returning to the dugout if the offer was right.
"I'm ready to get back to work but you have to make sure it's the right job," he told PA Sport.
"If you choose the wrong one you could be out of work again in six months or a year. I need to have a look at the situation.
"Sometimes you have to take a mental break, particularly when you have got a young family, so I have spent a great year with them."
Mowbray has also managed Celtic and Hibernian during his career.
