New Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett has expressed delight with being given the position at St Andrew's, calling it "an honour and privilege".
The former Blues defender, who made 106 appearances for the club between 1998 and 2000, replaced Lee Clark in the Championship outfit's hot seat on Monday.
Rowett told the Birmingham Mail: "It is an honour and privilege to be the manager of Birmingham City. This is a fantastic opportunity and an exciting challenge that I'm ready for.
"Having spent time here as a player, I know what this club is all about and what the supporters expect from their team."
Birmingham are currently 23rd in the Championship table.
