Sports Mole previews Tuesday's Championship clash between Birmingham City and Bolton Wanderers at St Andrews.

Birmingham City welcome Bolton Wanderers to St Andrews on Tuesday with both sides struggling for form in the early stages of the season.

The home side have picked up just five points from five games this season, while Bolton's seven points from five games sees them sit 10th in the Championship table.

Birmingham secured a 2-1 win the last time the two sides met in the Premier League last April, but Bolton eliminated Birmingham from the FA Cup with a 3-2 win in March.

The Blues are unbeaten in their last six home games – drawing three – while they have scored 13 goals in that period. That is in contrast to Bolton, who have won just one of their last six matches on the road.

Birmingham have no fresh injury concerns to contend with and could name the same side that drew with Nottingham Forest on Saturday, although Nathan Redmond could come into the side.

Bolton, meanwhile, could recall Martin Petrov to their starting lineup, but Chung-yong Lee will only be deemed fit enough for a place on the bench.

Recent form:

Birmingham: DLLLWD
Bolton: LWDLLW

Possible lineups:

Birmingham: Butland; Caddis, Caldwell, Ibanez, Murphy; Burke, Mullins, Spector, Lovenkrands; King, Redmond

Bolton: Bogdan; Mears, Mills, Knight, Alonso; Davies, Andrews, Spearing, Eagles, Petrov; Davies

Sports Mole says: 2-2
