Burton Albion have netted twice in the second half to earn a 2-0 success against Birmingham City.
After a drab opening, Birmingham almost took the lead midway through the first half but Lee Novak's volley went wide of the post.
Moments later, Jacques Maghoma drilled a shot over the crossbar from distance, while just before the interval, Burton's Mark Duffy had a shot well saved by Blues stopper Tomasz Kuszczak.
Seven minutes after the restart, the home side took the lead through John Mousinho, who was on hand at the near post to head home a cross from Duffy.
On the hour mark, Burton found a second when the ball landed at the feet of Phil Edwards, who proceeded to clip the ball over Kuszczak.
Birmingham attempted to muster a reply through Stephen Gleeson, but his fizzing effort was tipped over by Remi Matthews, while Wes Thomas diverted a late chance wide, but Burton comfortably held on for the triumph.
