Birmingham City have reportedly identified Bournemouth winger Connor Mahoney as a summer transfer target.
Garry Monk has endured a summer of frustration at St Andrew's due to the club's battle to resolve issues regarding a transfer embargo, but the ruling has been partially lifted ahead of the closure of the current window.
The Blues are able to make a number of loan signings and free transfers without committing to paying a large outlay on wages, and according to Birmingham Live, that has resulted in interest on Mahoney.
Mahoney burst onto the scene with Blackburn Rovers, but made just two appearances in the FA Cup after completing a move to Bournemouth last summer.
The 21-year-old spent the second half of the last campaign on loan at Barnsley, and the Cherries are allegedly willing to allow the wideman to spend more time in the EFL.
