Birmingham City manager Lee Clark has insisted that he is unlikely to enter the loan market in the near future.
The loan window reopens on Friday for Football League clubs to sign players on a temporary basis but Clark has revealed that Birmingham's financial problems mean that players have to leave before anyone can move to St Andrew's.
Clark told the Birmingham Mail: "There are no plans, no immediate plans. In terms of the loan window, there is no sense in letting any senior lads go, who I see as important members of the squad. There's no real justification in that.
"And generally we've been working to the remit that for someone to come in, someone has to go out. I don't know, maybe that's one way, if things suited us, of course.
"But at the moment, no, there is nothing that we're looking to do."
Birmingham are currently in 16th place in the Championship table.
