Birmingham City have announced that club captain Paul Robinson has signed a new one-year deal.
The 36-year-old, who has struggled for regular game time this season, has made 119 appearances since joining the Blues from Bolton Wanderers in 2013.
Manager Gary Rowett told the club's official website: "The easiest thing to do with any player coming to the last few seasons in their career is to go with someone younger and newer. But sometimes it's hard to find someone that can offer a multitude of things.
"They can help the young players with that game understanding and that knowledge of winning things and doing things properly in football, because that's something you don't often get in academies. Robbo is an influential person around the dressing room as well."
Robinson has featured 36 times for Birmingham this season so far.
