Blackburn Rovers have cut short Darragh Lenihan's loan at Burton Albion by 10 days so that he can return to Ewood Park.
The 20-year-old has been a Burton player on and off since October, making a total of 16 League Two appearances and scoring one goal for the Brewers.
His current stint was due to come to an end on March 14, but Blackburn have brought him back to Lancashire with fixtures coming thick and fast in the Championship.
The Irishman is yet to make his senior debut for Rovers.
