Blackburn Rovers are reportedly interested in signing Southampton forward Rickie Lambert.
Rovers manager Steve Kean is determined to add another striker to his squad before Friday's transfer deadline.
According to the Lancashire Telegraph, Kean has finally admitted defeat in his long-term pursuit of Huddersfield Town's Jordan Rhodes and is now intent on landing either Lambert or Swansea City's Luke Moore.
Lambert scored 27 goals in 42 Championship appearances last season.
