Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer has revealed that Sheffield Wednesday have not made an approach for striker Leon Best.
Best, 27, has been linked with a return to the Owls after enjoying a successful loan spell at Hillsborough last season.
While admitting that there have been "one or two enquiries" for the forward, Bowyer insists that Wednesday are not among them.
"I've not heard of any contact from Sheffield Wednesday," he told the Lancashire Telegraph. "We've had one or two enquiries but nothing has actually been backed up.
"He's still contracted to Blackburn Rovers, he's trained with the group this morning and he is available for selection."
Best scored five goals in 16 games during his loan spell with Wednesday last season.
