Swedish full-back Marcus Olsson has become the latest Blackburn Rovers player to sign a new deal at Ewood Park, putting pen to paper on a one-year extension.
The 26-year-old, whose previous contract expired last month, joins David Dunn and star striker Jordan Rhodes in committing himself to the Championship club.
Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer is delighted that he has managed to secure Olsson's services for the upcoming campaign, having been impressed with the way that the left-sided player finished the season after initially finding himself out of the team.
"I'm delighted that he has re-signed for another year," Bowyer told the club's official website.
"He has had to wait a long time due to the performances of Tommy Spurr, but the level of displays that he put in at the end of the season against Birmingham, Charlton and Wigan show what a valuable member of the squad he is."
Olsson joined Rovers from native side Halmstads in January 2012, and has since scored once in 49 games.
