Neither side were able to break the deadlock in the opening 45 minutes of the Championship encounter between Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday this evening.
The visitors started on the front foot as Jermaine Johnson tested Matt Gilks in the first minute.
They twice came close minutes later when, first, Johnson again got a shot away but it rolled just wide before David Prutton forced Gilks into a full-length stop.
Thomas Ince and Matt Phillips took long-range shots for Blackpool but neither could test Chris Kirkland in the Owls' goal.
The hosts' best opening came in the 28th minute when Ince was put clear through on goal, but Kirkland managed to divert his effort around the post.
