Jacob Mellis has revealed that he could be back in action for Blackpool in the next fortnight after suffering a knee injury last month.
The 23-year-old damaged his knee ligaments against Blackburn Rovers on just the second week of the Championship season, but he is hopeful of being back in midfield for the Tangerines sooner rather than later.
"I should be back in a couple of weeks," Mellis told the club's official website. "It was the first minute of the Blackburn game when I did my ligaments. I had to keep a brace on it at first to make sure it was secure, but I've got full movement back now.
"As long as I don't feel anything beforehand I should be a couple of weeks away, but I've not set a specific game."
Mellis signed a one-year deal with Blackpool in the summer after leaving Barnsley.
