Championship strugglers Blackpool have confirmed that they do intend to improve the surface of their Bloomfield Road pitch.
Visiting managers, like Middlesbrough's Aitor Karanka, have expressed concern over the bobbly nature of the turf in recent months and Blackpool are keen to address the issue.
In a statement this afternoon, the club said that they would completely rip up the current surface at the end of the season and in the meantime are consulting the Institute of Groundsmanship to plan the best course of action for the remainder of 2014-15.
The Tangerines have collected just 21 points from 31 games this season and lie bottom of the table, 10 points from safety.
