Blackpool caretaker manager Barry Ferguson has insisted that his side are "nowhere near" to securing their Championship status for next season.
The Seasiders are currently nine points clear of safety, but after they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night, Ferguson has revealed that he doesn't feel comfortable with his team sitting in 18th position.
The 36-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "Do I feel safe with us being nine points above the drop zone? No. I do not feel that we are comfortable at all.
"It should have been 12 points above the drop zone because I thought that we were the better team, but it's not.
"We'll just move on to Saturday and we'll be ready for Queens Park Rangers. But I still feel that we are nowhere near safety yet."
Ferguson has just two wins from 12 matches since taking charge at Bloomfield Road in January.
