Blackpool have retained their place in the Championship's top two by convincingly overcoming Middlesbrough at Bloomfield Road this evening.
On-loan Aston Villa striker Nathan Delfouneso netted his first and second goals for the Tangerines in the opening half, first springing the offside trap and slotting home before sidefooting past Jason Steele from the edge of the area.
Visting Boro got one back before the interval when Andre Amougou headed in minutes after George Friend had hit the crossbar.
The North East side could not complete a comeback after the break, however, as Thomas Ince rounded Steele and found the net ten minutes after the resumption.
The win was sealed for Ian Holloway's men in the 86th minute when Elliot Grandin scored a penalty after being fouled by Amougou.
Blackpool are at the top of a bunch of four teams on 13 points, one adrift of leaders Blackburn, with Middlesbrough dropping to eighth in the table.
