An early strike from Ricardo Fuller proved enough to secure three points for Blackpool in their Championship meeting with Huddersfield Town.
The Seasiders got off to the ideal start when the Jamaica international turned in David Perkins's measured pass to put them in front with just four minutes on the clock.
Blackpool could have added a second seven minutes later as David Goodwillie rose high to meet Chris Basham's nod-on, but he failed to trouble Alex Smithies in the Terriers goal.
Barry Ferguson's side continued to edge the contest, but created few clear-cut chances, although Goodwillie flashed a shot inches wide just after the hour mark.
Huddersfield had the ball in the net in the 73rd minute through Nahki Wells, but the Bermuda international's strike was ruled out for offside, and they went home empty-handed.
