Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman believes that his side's FA Cup triumph over Blackpool could help them in the Championship.
The Trotters got the better of their opponents 2-1 at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday to reach the fourth round of the competition.
"I like a cup run," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying. "It helped us last year where we beat Sunderland and that got our season going.
"It was a good old fashioned cup tie today and I would rather be in the next round than not."
Bolton are currently 18th in the league table with 27 points from 24 matches.
