Derby County have failed to take advantage of several first-half chances as they remain goalless at half time with Bolton Wanderers.
Bolton created the first chance of the game as Liam Feeney burst forward from midfield, before dragging an effort narrowly past the post.
The Rams struggled to create much going forward and were forced into an early change as the injured Craig Bryson was forced off, allowing Jeff Hendrick to enter the pitch.
Hendrick almost made an immediate impact as he pulled the ball back for Johnny Russell, who hit the crossbar.
Minutes later, Feeney crossed for Gary Madine at the other end, but his header floated wide.
Russell continued to threaten as he waltzed into the box, and forced Ben Amos into a low save from a stinging effort as the visitors cranked up the pressure before the break.
